Carrot Orange Lemonade (No Sugar Added)
What sounds more like summer than fresh lemonade? Lemonade makes me think of having a lemonade stand as a kid. We never made any money and usually only sold cups of lemonade to our family and friends.
The biggest problem with most lemonades is all of the sugar. Because lemon is so tart you need that sugary sweetness to balance the flavor, or you will be puckering your lips with every sip. For my Carrot Orange Lemonade, I use orange juice to add just enough natural sweetness, without the refined sugar.
I don’t often drink my calories, but with this nutritious Carrot Orange Lemonade you can feel good about serving this at a special occasion or as the occasional treat.
Carrots match with citrus so well that you won’t even notice that you’re drinking vegetables. Carrots are loaded with nutrition that lowers cardiovascular risk, helps inhibit the growth of colon cancer cells, and provide powerful antioxidants.
Lemons and oranges are also loaded with vitamin C that helps your immune system function properly.
If I could get Carrot Orange Lemonade like this from a stand on the side of the road, I would definitely pull over.
