The Calcium Shell-Chronic Disease Connection

Minerals play a vital role in our health. We all know that. But did you know that if we don’t maintain the proper balance of minerals in our body, it can lead to significant health issues? Specifically, when it comes to calcium, did you know that an imbalance can lead to a condition known as a calcium shell? It’s time to dive deeper into this often-overlooked mineral imbalance.

Our bodies contain calcium, 99% of which should be in our bones and teeth to provide structure. But when we don’t have the proper minerals to help keep calcium in our bones or direct it to the bones, it can start getting pulled from the bone and deposited into our soft tissues, causing inflammation and creating symptoms.

This calcium shell is a silent health concern that can lead to significant physical and psychological issues in the long run. The buildup of calcium can occur in our joints, kidneys, heart, arteries, capillaries, muscles, brain, and more. When it builds up in our arteries, it can lead to heart circulation issues and heart disease. In our joints and muscles, it can cause pain and discomfort.

But the calcium shell doesn’t only create physical symptoms; it affects our emotional and psychological health, too. It can create a numbing, deadening effect, leading to apathy, withdrawal, and rigidity. It dulls the emotional response and slows down a previously racing mind, all of which can give an individual a sense of normalcy but may not be a sign of healthy improvement but rather a coping survival mechanism.

So, what causes a calcium shell? Stress is a huge factor that triggers the adrenals, causing sodium, potassium, magnesium, and zinc loss. Stress can come from hundreds of internal and external sources, including emotional trauma. When trauma is at play, our bodies can produce a calcium shell as a protection mechanism.

But stress isn’t the only cause. Inadequate intake of minerals and vitamins can also contribute to the development of a calcium shell. This is why it’s so important to work with a qualified practitioner who can help you identify any nutritional deficiencies and create a customized plan to address them.

One of the most commonly recommended supplements for overall health is vitamin D. However; many people aren’t aware that taking high doses of vitamin D can actually lead to an accumulation of excess calcium in the body. This is especially dangerous for those who are already predisposed to calcium buildup.

How do we prevent or balance a calcium shell? First, understanding how to test for it is vital. The Hair Tissue Mineral Test (HTMA) is one of the most valuable tools for detecting a calcium shell. Once detected, work with a knowledgeable practitioner to correct any mineral imbalances or deficiencies. But remember, taking supplements blindly can do more harm than good. Investigate the root causes of calcium pushing out of the bone and analyze the body’s response. Consider factors such as emotional trauma, chronic stress, and other underlying health conditions.

In conclusion, maintaining a proper mineral balance is essential for our health. Calcium is one of the most crucial minerals, but its imbalance can lead to significant health issues, including a calcium shell, a silent health concern that can cause physical and psychological symptoms. It’s time to take control of our health and work with knowledgeable practitioners to correct any mineral imbalances or deficiencies and live a healthier life. Remember – our bodies deserve balance and harmony.
