Feeling Tired All the Time? 20 Surprising Reasons Why You’re Fatigued and What to Do About It

Are you constantly feeling tired and drained? Do you find yourself struggling to get through your day without feeling exhausted? If so, you’re not alone. Chronic fatigue is a common issue in today’s fast-paced society. But what are the reasons behind this lack of energy? Here are 20 surprising reasons why you’re fatigued to start considering today.

Here are 20 possible causes of fatigue:

Sunlight deficiencies and blue light toxicities: Lack of exposure to natural sunlight and excessive exposure to blue light from electronic devices can disrupt the circadian rhythm and affect the quality of sleep.

Lack of restorative sleep:

Poor sleep quality, insomnia, and sleep apnea can all contribute to fatigue.

Inflammatory foods:

Consuming a diet high in sugar, processed foods, and trans fats can trigger inflammation in the body, leading to fatigue.

Over or under-exercising:

Overexerting oneself or not getting enough exercise can lead to fatigue.

Disordered breathing patterns:

Shallow breathing or improper breathing techniques can lead to insufficient oxygen uptake and fatigue.

Poor posture and biomechanical misalignments:

Incorrect postures and misalignments can lead to muscle fatigue and discomfort.

Dehydration:

Not drinking enough water can affect energy levels and lead to dehydration-related fatigue.

Mineral and nutrient imbalances:

Nutrient deficiencies or imbalances in minerals such as magnesium and iron can affect energy levels.

Chronic overdoing/over-functioning:

Constantly pushing oneself to the limit can lead to burnout and exhaustion.

Lack of self-care and downtime:

Not taking the necessary time to rest and take care of oneself can lead to fatigue.

EMF toxicities:

Exposure to electromagnetic fields from electronic devices can disrupt the body’s energy levels.

Lack of nature connection:

Not spending enough time in nature can affect energy levels and contribute to mental fatigue.

Unsupportive habits and personal patterns:

Harmful habits such as worrying, excessive social media use, and task-jumping can lead to mental fatigue.

Toxic relationships:

Being in toxic relationships can lead to stress, anxiety, and fatigue.

Lack of relational connection:

Being isolated or lacking social connection can lead to mental fatigue and emotional exhaustion.

Lack of passion and purpose:

Not having a sense of purpose or passion in life can affect motivation and lead to fatigue.

Environmental toxin exposure:

Exposure to environmental toxins such as mold can affect the body’s energy levels.

Leaky and dysbiotic gut:

Gut dysbiosis and intestinal permeability can lead to inflammation and affect energy levels.

Dental dysfunction and toxicity:

Dental issues and mercury toxicity can affect overall health and energy levels.

Unresolved core trauma wounds (BIG ONE):

Unresolved emotional trauma can lead to chronic stress and anxiety and hijack the nervous system, affecting energy levels that keep the body, mind, and spirit system in a perpetual state of high alert.

Chronic high alert mode leads to nervous system dysfunction and chronic cell danger response mode.

In this state, there’s a slowdown or halt of all health-supporting functions such as energy production, digestion, blood sugar regulation, immune function, hormone production, etc.

From this state, one becomes a vulnerable host susceptible to a revolving door of chronic, stealth infections such as parasites, chronic Lyme and company, etc., and the accumulation of toxins such as heavy metals, mycotoxins, etc.

This is the PERFECT STORM that leads to cells being unable to hold a charge and the development of CHRONIC FATIGUE and INFLAMMATION!

Fatigue can have many causes, and the best approach is to identify and remove the underlying factors affecting your energy levels, with inflammatory dietary triggers, sunlight deficiencies, and lack of restorative sleep at the top of the list. Making lifestyle changes and building healthy habits such as engaging in regular movement, playing, time in nature, getting enough restful sleep, eating a healthy diet (this will be bio-individual), breathwork, reducing stress, and MORE can all help improve energy levels.

Taking the time to focus on self-care, engaging in activities that bring joy and purpose, and addressing emotional wounds can also help to boost energy levels. Ultimately, finding balance and creating an environment that supports healing and vitality can lead to more energy and a better quality of life.
