Pumpkin White Hot Chocolate (Dairy Free)
It is officially now fall-my favorite time of the year. Here in Arizona, October means that the temperatures are finally starting to cool off, and I get to spend more time outside. I am excited to start running outside again, tend to my vegetable garden, and sleep with the windows open. As the temperatures go down, my desire for warmer foods kicks in hardcore. This Pumpkin White Hot Chocolate is just the thing to warm you up this fall. I switched up my popular Strawberry White Hot Chocolate to create this new version and I know you are going to love it!
Who needs a coffee shop when you can make it yourself? You only need six real ingredients and a few minutes to make a low sugar, dairy free, and nutritious Pumpkin White Hot Chocolate at home.
With the controversy in the last couple of years regarding the horrible ingredients found in popular pumpkin drinks, I encourage my clients to create their own. Add some organic coffee to this recipe, as well, to take it to a whole new level.
The ingredient swap in this recipe from the original strawberry version is a great example of how just modifying one ingredient can create a whole new flavor. You can apply this principle to just about any recipe in order to use seasonal ingredients or foods that you have on hand. In salads you can switch up the vegetables or make dressings that have different vinegar or citrus juices, and in dessert crisps change up the fruit.
In the time it would take you to drive to a coffee shop, order a drink, and wait for a barista, you could already be enjoying this Pumpkin White Hot Chocolate in the comfort of your own home.
